I am intrigued by the challenge of creating something unique, fun, and inherently curious. I merge imagination with technique by incorporating unusual found objects and everyday items into one-of-a-kind pieces. Work integrating welded, recycled material is designed to be highly interactive, and result in a spectrum of applications such as abstract wall pieces, freestanding sculptures, and functional furnishings.
My work attempts to prompt viewers to question the reality of what they see. Audience reactions captivated by the elements comprising individual pieces fuel my motivation. The spectrum of work reflects a highly interactive, fluid process. Work includes abstract wall art and freestanding sculptures such as auto art and welded works produced from found objects and recycled metals. Occasionally pieces incorporate wood, paints, plastics, glass and photography. Final works address challenges of form, placement and application. |
